LINC'S FLOODS !
25th June 2007
It rained and it rained and it rained for 24 hours solid! we decided to leave the horses in for the day, unfortunately Dean forgot to put the kick bolt on the door of Solly's stable, well at 12 noon Dean got a call from his mum saying she was loose on the lawn! Oh Dear!
To top the day off I was stuck at work due to the rain the Refinery Alarm went off and no-one was able to leave site until the all clear was sounded, after it raining all day the roads were flooding, and at 4pm I did finally leave for home the cars were swimming in the car park. The road on to the dual carriage way was like a river.
Little did I know that most roads were closed due to flooding so the journey home was a tough one. here are a few photos of Scotter through the day as the flooding got worse.
This is what the river at Scotter normally looks like! (Oli he's soooo Cute)
This is what it looked like at 12 noon when Dean went home.
Then this one was
at 6pm the same evening.
Dean thought it would be fun to drive the
Porsche through it while I took a photo.

We escaped flooding at home, but at 8am I received a call from Keith one of the guy's that works at List Design to say that the Imminingham branch were 3ft under water!
I rang Dean with the sad news, The offices where under going a face lift and had, had 1 hundred grand spent on them, this is what they look like now! Thank god for Insurance!
As you can see from one of the office's
it was hit quite bad, least the plant survived.

Cool thanks sis for putting the pics up - the floods even reached NZ news, So I knew that the floods were happening, the Grimsby website had all Grimsby on - but its nice (well I dont mean nice that you got flooded) but its interesting to see areas that are familiar & that you recognise.
Take care - hope the sun shines soon - and that the LCD monitors in the office are still working!
